Family Services, Inc. (FSI) has been serving the Montgomery County community for over 100 years. Serving over 25,000 children, adults and families each year, FSI’s mission is to promote the resilience, recovery and independence of individuals and families across the life span through integrated mental and physical health, social service, and education programs, thereby strengthening communities. FSI provides a wide array of programs and services which address community education & support, healthy child development, family support services, behavioral health programs, victim and domestic violence and crisis intervention and advocacy.
WorkSource Montgomery is a non- profit organization in Maryland. Its mission is to ensure that the Montgomery County’s workforce is well-prepared, educated, trained, and adaptable, with the tools and resources to meet the current and future needs of local businesses and successfully compete in a global economy. The board also advises the County on the expenditure of over $3 million in federal, state, and county funds-primarily from the Workforce Investment Act to implement Worksource Montgomery, the one-stop workforce development system. The board has a history of effective experience in federal fund management, oversight, and guidance. Worksource Montgomery (Brand name for One Stop Workforce System) provides job and career services for 14,000 individuals a year.
